Salesforce dev, the fun way

Learn Salesforce dev.
In your own org.

Apex, LWC, integrations and the platform itself. Short lessons, real code, graded against your own Salesforce org by a raccoon who is personally offended by SOQL in loops.

How it works

01

Connect a free org

Spin up a free Salesforce Developer Edition org and connect it in one click. We only ever touch dev orgs, never production.

02

Write real code

Short lessons, then straight into the editor. Your Apex runs in your org, with your debug logs and your governor limits.

03

Quill grades it

Hit Submit and Quill checks your work against the org: records, metadata, tests, coverage. Pass and you earn XP.

The path

From β€œwhat's an org?” to shipping production code. 7 tracks, 107 lessons, 8 boss fights.

FAQ

β€ΊDo I need a Salesforce org?

Yes, but it's free. Sign up for a Developer Edition org (it takes two minutes and never expires if you use it) and connect it. Trailhead Playgrounds and scratch orgs work too.

β€ΊIs it safe to connect my org?

Apex Quest refuses to run code in sandboxes or production orgs. Code-it lessons run inside a savepoint that is always rolled back, so nothing you try is left behind in your org.

β€ΊIs this a PD1 cert course?

It's broader: it ramps you up as a working Salesforce developer. But the Apex, Triggers, Testing and LWC tracks cover the PD1 exam objectives, and Cert Prep mode is on the roadmap.

β€ΊHow is this different from Trailhead?

Trailhead is great and broad. Apex Quest is a focused, ordered path for developers: shorter lessons, more code, instant feedback on every run, and a raccoon with opinions.

Quill is waiting.

Your first lesson takes five minutes. He'll only judge you a little.
